About Us

The Alliance of Tech Innovators for the Nation (ATIN), is a multi-stakeholder coalition of tech industry players in the Philippines. We aim to promote inclusive growth and development through the digital economy by harnessing the power of tech and advocating for the importance of enabling innovation and working with government to create an enabling environment for innovation.

Mission

  • To improve the everyday life of Filipinos through the power of technology;

  • To promote access to the digital economy; and

  • To accelerate the growth and development of the Philippines through innovative technology.

Be a partner for communities, businesses, and government in enabling tech to reach greater heights, to reach its full potential in contributing to the development of the Philippines.

Monchito B. Ibrahim

Mr. Ibrahim retired as Undersecretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in July 2019. He also served as Commissioner of the then Commission on Information and Communications Technology from 2006 until July of 2011. 

 Before joining the government in 2006, he had a long successful career with multinational companies like Fujitsu, WeServ, Siemens-Nixdorf, Comparex Germany, and Unisys Australia in various executive positions.

He started his ICT career in 1975 with NCR Philippines.

Currently, he is involved in the following organizations:

  • Lead Convenor – Alliance of Technology Innovators for the Nation (ATIN)

  • Trustee and President - the University of the Philippines System Information Technology Foundation (UPSITF),

  • Trustee - Analytics Association of the Philippines (AAP)

  • Member – Smart Cities Network ASEAN

  • Senior Advisor – 2022 International ICT Awards, Canadian Chamber of the Philippines

  • Member - Technical Panel for Information Technology Education (TPITE) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) since 2006

  • Member – Internet Society (Philippine Chapter)

  • Columnist (Tech4GOOD) – Manila Bulletin

During the 2012 International ICT Awards, he was given the ICT Individual Contributor Award for his contributions to the growth of the Philippine IT-BPO Industry. He was also named as one of the Ten ICT Industry Movers and Shakers for the period 2002-2012 and recipient of the Boards’ Choice as Government Champion, both given by the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP). In 2016, he was given the Sapphire Flare for Brilliance Award by IBPAP for his work in the development of home-grown BPO companies in the countryside.
